In January 2017 I marched, with millions of others, in a sea of pink. A hundred years ago, women marched in white and purple and gold - they wore these colors in sashes and cloaks and cockades and carried them in banners. The wore them until their cloaks were ragged and the banners were faded. They wore them until the 19th amendment was ratified on August 26th, 1920. I wove this scarf to honor them.
