We have something of a St. Patrick's Day ritual at home. I make Bruce's favorite dinner - which happens to be corned beef and cabbage - and then we watch "The Quiet Man" on dvd. I'm not a huge John Wayne fan, but his films with Maureen O'Hara are the best, and "The Quiet Man" is the best of the best. ("The Quiet Man" is also a charming story by writer Maurice Walsh - I recommend it.)
This year, our St. Patrick's Day celebration had to be postponed due to a case of the stomach flu. But now, the corned beef is in the crock pot, and tonight will be movie night.
This scarf was inspired by Maureen O'Hara. I can see her slipping it over her hair when the weather is "soft."
